since it's still winter...sort of {it's like 40°F outside, but i'm not saying that in a whining manner, riding is so nice in the warmth}... since it's still a season that flurries may fall from the sky at any given time i still find it appropriate {slightly} to wear sparkles on my nails. my lack of nutrients have left my nails quite brittle so covering them up with polish for protection has been the solution. that & green drinks. to start of the year i'm trying to really budget my life, but it's difficult. i've realized that i purchase things to cheer myself up. like chocolate every time i'm at trader joe's. {when did i start liking chocolate?! getting old is weird.} another phase of simplifying, starting today.

my roommates are back!

this week has been wonderful. i am happy to have my roommates back. even though we are all trying to fall into our new Spring schedules it's lovely tobe in their company. riding has been cold. i'm thankful that i now have my U-pass. look at all the goodies jenna brought us from work!

Ode to Product Design

So i have officially changed my major to Art & Design.

There is so much i want to learn about... so many classes i want to take...

so much to experience! i just want to apprentice everyone all sorts of artists & designers.

i wanted to share some fun project i got to do while in product classes.

this projector had many specifications, it's a box i made from styrene. 

the vent on top is a vacuum molded piece from carved foam.

Now that chicago is covered in snow it seams i won't be biking for a while. i tried to bike today, but gave up halfway through my adventures. i'm just so scared of falling. ps i forgot how beautiful trees look with fresh snow on them, it was a wonderland today! Welp, these past few days have been incredible, productivity is rather rewarding. i have so much to share! but also a lot of decisions to make regarding my spring schedule. surrender daily, we were not created to go through life alone. at GC tonight i was reminded that with the ever-present holly spirit all we have to do is rely on Him.  

Green DRINK! my surprise christmas present from my parents was a Blendtec blender. i was hesitant to keep it because i had my own plan for saving up for a super duper blender... SURPRISE it's such a treat, i am so glad i didn't return it! i've been drinking these green drinks with kale apple & whatever kind of frozen fruits i can find. They taste delicious & this awesome blender doesn't even leave kale strings it's amazing! Thank you mom & dad for being so thoughtful, & knowing me better than i know myself. i love you!
